In a unexpected partnership that defies usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.
The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana in addition to numerous items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
