Barcelona Ready for Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
Stadium Testing
The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
