Three police officers lost their lives and at least 15 additional individuals got wounded in what appears to be intentional detonation from gas at a rural property in the northern part of Italy.

The blast occurred as police and firefighters went into the house in the vicinity of the Verona region to enforce an removal notice for two brothers and a sister in their late 50s and mid-60s.

All three victims who died belonged to the Carabinieri force.
