Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult season, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in particular - caused him exiting of the top ten and finally separating with former mentor his previous coach.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's initial trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
Victory also signifies he has secured 21 championships at twenty-one different competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to win a championship is particularly special," stated tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and frequent emotional displays on court had led some to doubt if his skill to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult opponent, securing 4 of the final five games to go ahead.
The competitors swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, took control to force a decider.
He defended four initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he secured victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
