Tributes Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt prepared to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the film, adding that he could not remember "a single day without mirth".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a separate piece, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to prevent the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate put a restriction on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the probe.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of murder, with a record listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

Following the tragedy, public figures offered divergent responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the detractors recently. Conversing on his program, Rogan characterized the comments as "disturbing" and suggested they showed a concerning absence of compassion.
